How is hyperkeratosis treated? Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: How is hyperkeratosis treated?" I was told I had a finding of hyperkeratosis. This is the second time now. It was first discovered two years ago and then again at my annual one year ago. I am due for my annual and was told if it is still present I will need a colpo. I have been reading on abnormal pap smears and not too much is mentioned on hyperkeratosis. Is this precancer? Can it turn into precancer? How is this treated and what is it? Should I be scared?
