And how much of a difference does it make ...as no one has mentioned it to me...he merely suggested OCP, IUD , or Depo. I am not interested in any of those at all..they are horrible for me. LIke I said, this is why my husband had a vasectomy. I am seeing the doctor for my follow up in about 4 weeks so any help would be great as I could bring stuff up to him. I have been long concerned about my hormones, but do to my experience w/the OCP am afraid to try them ever again. I am 27 and get acne, hirsutism, and horrible PMS the second half of the month, along w/the spotting. However, the doctor looked at my ovaries during surgery and said they looked fine, so they must not be polycystic (I had thought maybe that was it) But I am at the bottom of normal weight charts for myself though my breasts have been apprantly shrinking the past year and a half too now...they had always been a B cup until after my second child when I quite nursing they eventually shrank to an A cup, and then now I am suddenly an AA cup (5 years later after the birth), this added w/now my acne is worse as its begun on my back too after all these years. I hate it but I have tried everything for the acne and the onlytime in my life I haven't had acne is when pregnant or on the OCP. I am not sure if these other things would relate to the hormone profile or not but estrogen really scares me and if I could just take progesterone for only half the month, it seems easier to tolerate to me than taking both estrogen and progestserone all month long when I don't even need pregnancy protection.
