Lapidus M.D.: "Re: laparotomy incision questions" hello again, this website is suiting my obsessive concern about my healing incision. thank you docters. ~2 weeks since laparotomy, dermoid cyst removal,and ovary too.cut is vertical. wound is healng,staples are out and using surgi-strips. did a lot of walking today, came home and took a nap. after sitting in an upright position, i look down and my pants are wet,with a little blood, which has come from a little part of my incision, a considerable amount has leaked out of my incision. it is not hot, and i have no fever. whadaaya think? can this wait until my dr.'s appt in 4 days,or not? thanks for your response.,oh and the area was very,very itchy today.(did not itch it though) Next message: Harvey S.
