Lara,

it is quite common in people of various ethnic groups, and sometimes has no reason other than that "it is". In my corner of Europe, we have an old saying: "Much hair = much love", meaning that women with a bit more body hair are more likely to have higher testosterone levels, and hence more interest in sex. Personally, I (fair skin, blonde, blue eyes, all Northern European) have the same issue, plus a bunch of hairs around my aureolas which I am now getting "zapped" through electrolysis. No significant physiological reasons for the whole thing with me either, and no family history. The boyfriend is enjoying himself though. :-)
