There is a wonderful book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler (I believe - title may be a bit off.) It will help you understand your cycle & body clues as to your most fertile times. I don't like to take birth control or use condoms either, so if I think I am in a possibly fertile period, I use vaginal contraceptive film. It's very easy & clean to use & gives me that extra piece of mind.
