My last period was also extremely clotty and I had a few hot flashes. My periods usually do not last more than 4 days but the last one lasted for 7 days or more. My doctor told me to start taking birth control pills. Will this get rid of the pain? What could possibly be causing the pain? I'm 18 and not sexually active.
