10 weeks pregnant...high risk ... have questions.

This is for my sister in law. She is due may 11, 2003 and is 10 weeks along. She is high risk due to previously untreated Graves Disease. She just sought treatment for it 1 month ago and began medication. She still has a goiter and bulging eyes.

SHe is attending a high risk ob/gyn and she said they told her yesterday that everything is good, the arms are beginning to bud out and the baby is over 4 inches long. I have had 2 pregnancys and don't recall the baby being over an inch or so long at 10 weeks. SHe said it is growing good and her due date is still may 11. How can the baby be over four inches long already???? She is concerned that the baby is going to be too tall when its born. Is it normal for the baby to be this long at 10 weeks?

Thanks for your help...she really appreciates it.
