The following is just my personal opinion based on my experience :0)

Three tampons/hr is too much. How are her blood levels? I think that on occasion we need to be more vocal with ob/gyns. If a Dr asks each woman they see "do you have pain with menses", virtually all will say yes. Cramping is normal, but pain that causes her to curl up into a ball is not. If it's the pain that causes the nausea that is not normal.

Perhaps taking her to an endo specialist for an evaluation would be helpful - the specialist would be able to advise you best on a laparoscopy. If it were my daughter, I'd get the lap done by an endo specialist, as they are very adept at identifying endo that can sometimes be elusive, and they usually perform excision (which seems to have better results than laser etc.)
