Re: Post Laporotamy confustionFrom: Joyce (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 17 Oct 2002 22:48:24 -0500 (CDT)
Sine the dr did not address it, I will. Low blood preesure is often caused by anesthesia. It is very common to have it afterwards for a short time. A raise in the heart beat can be caused by morphine, some types of pain meds etc.,...If these things are normal now, no nedd to be concerned. My own personal opinion on no discharge instructions:...Get yourself another hospital or dr. Whichever one is responsible for not giving them. Please rest and if you are tired of laxatives, papaya works fantastic and has properties to replace the enzymes lost in the intestinal tract[such as the flora] during medication and surgeries. And causes no additional gas like some laxitives do. The cramping can be kept at a distance through the use of a heating pad---IF your dr/nurse approves it. Works very well! I hope you are feeling better! Rest and take care so as not to spark a fever or complications later. Hugs...Joyce joyneau@hotmail.com
