UTI from catheter??? Lapidus M.D.: "Re: UTI from catheter???" Question.....I just had my gallbladder out 2 weeks ago. It was an emergency surgery, and I had to have a foley catheter for a few days. Recently, I have been experiencing backaches and bladder cramping with burning, along with all-over body aches - but no fever. Is this normal after the use of a foley catheter, or could it be an infection? Anybody have an ideas? I don't want to bug my surgeon about this if it's nothing to worry about. Thanks.
