My doctor has told me that sometimes you become hypothyroid without there being any underlying cause, but I don't understand how this can be the case - something has to cause the levels to go awry. What do you think? Thanks Sarah P.S. I've been taking 200mcg Thyroxine and my symptoms are still there - fatigue, intolerance to cold, dry skin, etc. but blood tests are showing normal TSH levels.
