Dr. Lapidus,

Just need some clarification on your answer....are you saying it is unusual to have Endo after having children or unusual for it to develop after 18 months? I'm not clear on which question you are answering with your response.

Endo can present in many different way (color for example). If a surgeon is not familiar with all of the ways it can appear, it can be missed, so this person may have had it, but the Dr. wasn't familiar with what s/he was seeing.

Many women have Endo despite having children. My Mother had two children and had Severe Endo. My Cousin had Stage IV Endo and had two children. I don't have children and have Early Stage IV Endo (although haven't tried for them.....told with the places my Endo was found, chances are not good of having children).

Just curious on your response.

Thank you for your time.
