Lapidus M.D.: "Re: bartholins cyst" I am 15 weeks pregnant and have just discovered I have one of these cysts although so far no complications from it. My GP says it will need to be removed after delivery of the baby by general anisthetic. My question is 1. In a normal birth could it pop and cause problems (blind the baby) 2. Can it be removed under local anisthetic as I have a major fear of general due to a heart arrythmia and refuse to have one and cannot see life with the cyst forever. 3. How big will it grow and how long can you have it for if it does not become infected.
