If so, one of the newer treatments for PCOS is Metformin (not really new, been out several years). If you have it, might be interested in the PCOS forum here. Good luck!

From: Michael <anonymous@obgyn.net> Subject: Question about PCOS

I am a 29 years old and have one child, my husband and I have been trying to conceive another child. My Dr.has told me that he thinks I might have PCOS- Polycystic Ovarion Syndrome. Last week I had some labs drawn, a Thyroid, Progresterin and Prolacton. I was not given a reason for these labs, and because some of them need to go out it will be a couple of weeks before I will know anything. I have already had an ultrasound that found 6 cysts all 1-2 cenimeters on my ovary. Will the Labs help determine if in fact I do have PCOS?

Please respond to MerryMoo2001@yahoo.com Thank you - Carrie
