I respectfully disagree with the dr, only due to experience. I was researched with every darn test in the book for digestive problems. While I might be the exception, I have none. But I had a recotcele that was quite large. After repair, the back pain diminished. However, you can have back pain due to herniations/problems of the spine, which you should have checked. Joyce
