hi again! I go to my gynecologist for the Paps, etc. (He's an ob/gyn)

I wouldn't have thought I was in a 'high risk' group either-- not many 'partners' at all or anything like that.

I got a book from Amazon.com called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About HPV". It was very full of info--- of course, in some ways that made me more paranoid. But helpful too. But I tell myself (and you) that of all the many' diseases' you could have, this one at least can be monitored and eradicated if it flares up... but it's still a pain!

>From reading that book, I think that LEEP and Laser treatment are
similar. Nowadays it sounds like LEEP is the most common. It removes a large piece of the bad cells but preserves them so they can be sent to the lab and examined. I was relieved that on my first Pap after having the LEEP, the Pap was normal. But of course I know that the HPV virus will always be there, so it could cause abnormal cells anytime. But if I am monitored carefully, things can be treated--- though treatment isn't pleasant, it is wonderful that the bad cells can be gotten rid of.

Make sure and let me know what your results are. (I guess you can just post another reply to your "Dysplasia is back!" thread so I can find you?!)
