I am 34, have 2 children. Family history of ovarian & cervical cancer, my siter just had a hyster. for massive fibroids/pain. I have always had horrible periods...pain! and heavy bleeding. intermixed w/no periods for months, then prolonged periods. (last one being 28 days) Each time I went to Gyn. would be placed on BCP. These just don't work for me...become very depressed, cramping all the time and I end up quiting after 6 to 12 months. Just started pills again in attempt to control cycle, but after 2 weeks am again depressed and now having constant pain where my right ovary should be. Had ultasound done 3 weeks ago and cysts were found on this ovary. Could it be growing because of the pill? Am obviously afraid of ovarian cancer, any test to rule out or find the "causes of my problem" not just mask the syptoms with these pills? I try to be strong at the doctors office, but frankly am frustrated and would like to find a true diagnosis. Thanks for any advise!
