Michelle, I am so excited to tell you that there is a blood test that can determine early stage ovarian cancer. It was in our local newspaper several months ago and recently I heard that the accuracy rate was 100%. The blood test looks for a certain pattern of proteins that are associated w/ ovarian cancer. You are right about it being developed at Northwestern Medical School...in Evanston, IL, it was either that school or the University of Chicago...can't remember. I've been keeping an eye out on this b/c I have had already a precancerous tumor removed from one of my ovaries. If you want more information, I would check the Chicago Tribune website and Northwestern's. I will look on those and send the links!
