No discharge, small amount of fluid in menopausal uterus

Just how much cause for concern is there when a 10 year post menopausal woman has had no discharge or bleeding but symptoms of bloating, abdominal pains, no appetite, filling up on little food and 10 lbs weight loss in 6 weeks (all of which could be due to bacterial overgrowth at a partial obstruction at bowel resection - and symptoms have pretty much resolved w/antibiotics)?

CT scan showed normal bowel but an apparent simple cyst on left ovary for which two abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds have been performed. This is when a small amount of fluid was found in the endometrial cavity, the endometrial stripe being 4 mm the first ultrasounds and only 2 mm the second ultrasounds.

Yet a third set of ultrasounds has been scheduled for Oct. Gyn discussed an endometrial biopsy between first and second ultrasounds. Now says the EB is not necessary but still wants the Oct ultrasound done.

Where are we heading with this? I appreciate the concern and caution but sure do hate always having something pending and hanging over my head! Personally I see little cause for concern but I feel I must be missing something since my GP, gastro and gyn appear to be concerned.
