You would definatly know if the tumor burst....it's happened to me and it hurts like hell. I would strongly suggest sitting down w/ your gyn and discussing your options, including surgery and when it can happen. I was told that I had ovarian tumors on Wenesday and then Monday the following week, I had them removed surgically. So, surgery doesn't really need to be scheduled far in advance. They will want to make sure that all pre-op tests are done, such as hemoglobin and blood typing. This is extremely important! Good luck!
