3 WEEK PERIOD inspite of Birth Control! HELP!From: Cris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Sep 2002 17:52:23 -0500 (CDT)
I have been on Yasmin for about 4 months. Last month I had brown spotting the whole month, now this month I have had a medium to lite period for the past 3 weeks (the blood seemed brown). Currently i am on the white pills, so I technically should be on my period (now the blood is red), but who knows if it will stop at the end of those pills. I had a pelvic exam last month regarding the spotting and my doctor said evertyhing looked fine and that it was probably stress. My question is, can stress really cause a 3 week period even when i am on the pill? Could something really serious be wrong that my doctor could have missed during the examination? I am going to make an appointment next week if the bleeding persists, but any help to set me at ease in the mean time would be greatly appreciated.
