Important question about late ovulation and pregnancy... need answer soon! From: Jacki (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Sep 2002 17:15:28 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, Sorry to sound so desperate but I have an question that I need a quick answer to. I had a miscarried two months ago, and we started ttc again. I didn't think I ovulated and I took a pregnancy test to make sure that was negative. I am now 10 days late, and I was going to go to the doctor to get a shot to make my period start, but I decided to make sure that I wasn't ovulating or pg. I found out that ovulation prediction tests turn positive if there is HCG in the systom, with my last miscarriage and from researching about it. Anyways, I took the test this morning and it showed with the line as dark as the test line, and positive. I am taking a pg test later today to make sure I'm not pg. But, my question is this, if I AM ovulating on cycle date 38 should I consider that the egg is too weak to fertilize and not try to get pregnant. Or is it okay to try to get pregnant, even at this late time of ovulation. Thanks!
