I am glad I am not the only one with these concerns. I will tell you though..my mom and sister both had hyterectomies (everything taken out) and they haven't gotten a pouch. It has been one year since my sister's surgery (she is now 47). My sister had the old fashioned cut (up and down). My doctor and I have discussed prophylactically giving me a hysterectomy due to family history of things. I too am concerned over weight gain and hair loss from HRT that I would have to go on since I am only 42..not to mention the "pouch" that I do hear some women complain about. I can assure you though my sister is doing fine...and doesn't have a pouch. It would be interesting to hear other women's experiences. Good luck.
