Calysta, from your description it seems that you may be presenting endometriosis. I'd go along with your doctor who wants to do a laparoscopy. This will allow for a visual evaluation of your abdominal cavity and confirm or rule out endometriosis inside. ENdometriosis, if untreated can be a problem for those trying to concieve. The lump you feel on your cervix can only diagnosed properly through a pelvic exam.
