How long can it take for a hemorrhagic cyst to resolve and quit being painful?

I am not quite sure what type of cyst I have, but Dr.Braun suggested in my earlier post that it may be hemorrhagic, but my ultrasound reading states that it is complex with multiple septations, and also debris or blood in the cu;-de-sac (about 20 cc). I have been having pain in my left side (same side at cyst measuring 3.8x2.7x3.2 cm) for over 3 weeks, the past 8 days it has been bad enough that I need to be taking the Tylenol 3 that the doctor prescribed for me, 2 pills 3x's/day, and it doesnt help much at that. The advice nurse at my doctors office suggested last week that the pain is probably because my cyst is resolving, and that I should feel better in a day or two. Well, here I am 8 days later with worsening pain. My doctors office is telling me that everything is normal and ok, and that its going to hurt. I also have a evelvated temp for 2 weeks, 99.1-100.2 daily. I went in on Monday for the pain, and the doctor just patted me on the back, sent me home with pain meds, and told me I would be fine. I have had 2 pregnancies, one live birth 5/95, and one miscarriage at 11 weeks on 8/1/02. I do not have family hisotry information,my mother is adopted, but she has had cysts removed. Can you please advise me as to when I should be feeling better or calling the doctors office again to report the pain? I feel like I should not be sitting by in pain for this long without my doctors office being more proactive about the whole situation. Can you please help??

Thank you kindly, Annie W.
