IUD on the loose

I am 51 .Had a child 6/70, 2/73, 2/83.All fine. After 1st one, had IUD inserted. Almost 2 yrs. later I was having severe cramping and could FEEL the string and so could hubby. Went to GYN to have taken out. After process GYN tells me if I wanted the Pill to come back after next period and he'd prescribe them. Never had it, I got pregnant, like immediately. 1989 I started HEAVY bleeding that went on for 2 months and ended up loosing my entire uterine lining. (Forgot, tubes were tied after 3rd child.) A GYN put me on hormones and said it would never happen again,it was very unusual. Happened again in '91. Same GYN wanted to put me on stronger hormones.Saw someone else and got a vaginal uterine hysterectomy. About 45 days aago I started in with an ache in my left side that was terribly aggravated by the bending, lifting and throwing of heavy coin bags in cas ino job of 7 yrs.Saw my GP after it became unbearable and thru urinalysis he came up with kidney stones.Had IVP. No stones, but an IUD in lower left side showed up. Referring me to GYN but gave me no lift restrictions and says it can't perforate uterus by itself, had to have been done at insertion, and can't perforate any other organs. Went online for hours and found many items about IUDS perforating other organs and causing blockage.Until I can get an apptmt with GYN (which might be awhile) should I be doing the job? My husband won't even let me drive cause he saw me almost pass out from the pain. How much can it move around and how fast?

Thanks in Advance. Debbie
