Re: HysterectomyFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSat, 31 Aug 2002 13:33:46 -0500 (CDT)
No Victoria, she was talking about me! And I don't like it when someone on a board is always "pushing or suggesting" the same product over and over for many different reasons without scientific proof. I have not found these studies either and I am in the medical field. I apologise to BJ for any crap I have dealt her, but I need MAJOR info to even begin to believe in this stuff. All the studies I have read and researched have had major flaws with the process used for testing. I have no problem with progesterone prescribed, it is the "natural source' such as wild yam, that acutally has such a small amount, it can't work. And not everyone absorbs it from these apllication methods, and yet to read Dr. Lee's book, you would think that everyone would profit from using this. No mention of individual problems with this wild yam has been mentioned in his book. There have been problems,..ie, no absorption, no results,etc.,.. I am VERY glad it works for some and should have been more understanding to state this. However, it does not work for most. And, here is a biggie, NO ONE has proven these effects on those it works, is not physchological/emotional/co-incidental. And here is another point, this reaction to natural progesterone/wild yam, is the same one they had about premarin years ago,...look at the damage that HRT has done to a lot of women. Nope, I need proof and long term studies that are done in a controlled environment with factual results. Until there is more proof, I will stick to science. Respectfully....ANON.
