Re: pain caused by scar tissue after laprotomy?

Hi Dr. Cristalli:

I understand your point that a diagnostic laparoscopy has few or no risks of aditional adhesion formation, (of itself), but some surgeons tend to lyse etc while they are in there, and that has the potential for further adhesion formation. I have problematic adhesions, and I would advise anyone who has a diagnostic procedure to make their surgeon promise clearly that nothing more than the diagnostic be done. To do more is clearly a quality of life issue that needs to be discussed prior to surgery.

My question (finally):

Dr, have you read about Confluent Spraygel, and the promise it is showing in Europe and in the clinical trials in the USA? What do you think of it's potential to prevent adhesion formation?

Thank you so much for your input!
