You're wrong. There are strong evidence that HRT is beneficial. The recent WHI is controversial and affects only one kind of treatment. It is the first sudy going that way, so further studies are needed to conclude. Thalidomide was not used to prevent miscarriage but to prevent vomiting, that's why it was widely used in early pregnancy. You are confusing with Distilben (Diethylstilbestrol).
