Wild yam is one of the sources (soy is another) of the raw material used to make natural progesterone. This is done commercially and is not something the body can do by using "wild yam" cream. You could ask a pharmacist for more information on these products. If you would like to use one of these products instead of over the counter creams you need to work with your doctor.
