Hysterectomy

I am 43, two teenage daughters with a history of endometriosis and ASCUS Paps along with a Leep last April. My gyn keeps saying that I need to consider a hyst. I am short of sick days and have heard of the diff. ways to do this procedure.

If one is full of endometriosis(bowel, etc as seen during my laproscopy to remove an endometrioma) how can one to the surgery vaginally? Would he have to do the complete hysterectomy by cutting the stomach? I am concerned about any lesions being left behind. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks so very much.
