Chronic pain on right side - any assistance please

Brief history:

27 yo g2p2 12yr history of mild ulcerative colitis currently being treated with Pentasa. Severe pain in lower right quadrant beginning in March 2002. 2 ultrasounds, ct of pelvis and abdomen w/contrast, small bowel follow through, pelvic exams and cultures all proved negative. No psychological or abuse history. June 2002, diagnostic laparoscopy and appendectomy. Lap found ruptured ovarian cyst and some adhesions. Cyst was not removed as it was already ruptured and bleeding. Adhesions removed.

Pain continues today despite lap and appendectomy. Pain is a continual ache (grade of 4) with periods of sharp debilitating pain (grade 7). Pain often radiates into groin and top of thigh. Is more pronounced after standing for a while or walking (grade 7-8). Despite birth control, periods are still heavy and 7 days long w/ extremely painful cramping. Intercourse is painful if penetration "hits" the right side. Wearing a tampon is impossible as the insertion is painful to the right side. Bending over at the waist feels as though I am "squishing" something on that right side.

Pelvic congestion has been mentioned to me but all the info I can find does not indicate that it can be unilateral. Would removal of the right ovary help? Any information or assistance would be appreciated. I am at my wits end with this.
