pelvic kidney, fallopian tube and ovary removed - PROBLEMS!From: Martha (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 25 Aug 2002 09:09:25 -0500 (CDT)
Hi. I was born with a right pelvic kidney. Seems that all of my life I have had pain in the lower right side of my body. When I was 30, I made enough of a fuss about it and they found a cyst on the right side of my abdomen. Went for surgery and when I woke up, they told me that they took out a cystic fallopain tube, and adherent ovary...Now, here is my problem. I have NEVER had regular periods. But last month, I spotted all month. Then, I got a weird period. No pain at all, but bright red blood and a lot of clotting. It also was the longest period, it took 9 days to really taper off. I should mention that I am 36 years old and am not sexually active. I am calling a new doctor on Monday, because I have been very bad about going for check ups and paps since I am basically sick of having surgeries and being scared. Thanks!
