I've had a few colposcopies done and there is no pain associated with the scope itself. If your dr. determines that a biopsy is necessary, there can be a little bit of discomfort with that. I have had cervical biopsies and endometrial biopsies done. The cervical ones pinch slightly and you may have cramping. The endometrial biopsy is much more painful but thr pain doesn't last long. The whole prodecure is done on the dr. office and only takes minutes. Hang in there! God bless
