No LH surgeFrom: Meg (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 15 Aug 2002 09:51:42 -0500 (CDT)
Hello - Thanks in advance for your help. I am on my 4th cycle of Clomid (150 mg). My doc also wanted to add an HCG shot, which I had last month also. For some reason, this month I really over-responded. I think I have 9 follicles, at least 4 of which are mature (estrodial00). On Monday, one of the nurses warned me that they may not do the shot because I had so many follicles. She also warned me that if I got pregnant with more than 3 embryos that the office policy was to "selectively reduce." She really scared me and so my husband and I decided not to get the shot. Yesterday, the doctor (who is filling in for my doctor who is on vacation) said to go ahead with the shot. My husband was worried so we decided not to. I hope it was the right decision. When I called and told the nurse, she just said to "call when I get my period," which upset me. I'd like to know if maybe I could ovulate on my own, without the shot? Today is Thursday and I have not detected an LH surge with an OPK or a temp. shift. What does it mean if you have alot of follicles, but never surge? I'm a bit underweight, could that be the cause? Thanks again, Meg
