UltrasoundFrom: Liz (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 14 Aug 2002 12:31:14 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I have a question about the accurate gestational age of my fetus. I have had 3 ultrasounds all within the first 8wks of pregnancy that have all been concurrent. I have also researched and found that early in the first trimester ultrasounds are very accurate, from what I can tell within a 3-5 day accuracy. I also understand that ovulation can take place anytime during a cycle. My question is this, the ultrasounds say that I conceived on the 20th. My due date is based on the ultrasounds and not my LMP(last menstrual cycle). Which I did have a partner around that time, although I also had a different partner on the 8th. Given that sperm can live 24-48 hours and has been recorded to live even longer than that, is it possible that my partner from the 8th is the product of my pregnancy?
