Drs--quick background: i take ortho-tricyclin, battling with prescription plan (they keep saying my prescription isn't valid though my dr has resubmitted to them several times) finished my last pack of pills at the end of june. would like to get pregnant early 2003, so decided best to not go on for 2 months only to go right back off to have a baby. have considerable health problems (congenital diaphragmatic hernia, scoliosis w/ spinal cord damage in c-spine, valve leakage (slight) in heart, one functioning lung, one kidney) so an unplanned pregnancy would not be wise--still not positive i should have children (seeing specialists, been okd by all so far--orthopedic surgeon is last to check implications to spinal cord).

since going off the pill, i've had a normal period. that ended on 8/8. since the middle of the period, i have had extremely swollen, sore breasts (this continues), sudden waves of nausea (several per day lasting anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes), and diarrhea (not constant, but at least once per day). I have not changed my diet (have always eaten very low fat/high fiber). I feel fine most of the time, but the nausea and diarrhea return with no warning (not always at the same time) and I find myself gagging at sights/tastes that never bothered me. Is this a result of my hormones finding their own balance after 1 month off the pill? My period was 1 full week late, however, it came and was normal, so I can't be pregnant...so is it just from going off the pill after 2.5 years on?
