About miscarriage (more info)

This is my first pregnancy, no previous obstetrical problems except mild dysplasia.

Hi, I'm about 8 weeks along and I wanted to know when the risk of miscarriage significantly decreases. Does it decrease step by step over time or is it a big drop at a certain point? At this point, should I really be worried about miscarriage, is the chances of me miscarrying lower than say someone who is 5 weeks along? Also, when is the "embryo" technically called a fetus? I've heard 8 weeks, but is that a weeks since the lmp or 8 weeks after conception? I've heard both. Thanks! :)
