No way they could determine it is blood and not a collection of other fluid. Ultrasound doesn't show the make up of a fluid, just that it is there.

Unless either you or your partner are carriers of a balanced translocation(The chromosomes of the prior pregnancy would have indicated whether or not this might be the case), the risk of recurrence is quite low.
