trying to get pregnant using clomid

My last pregnancy i took clomid day 3-7 i ovulated on day 13 and i conceived the very first try. Now i am trying again i had to take provera to have a period cause i dont one every month. I took clomid day 3-7 again and assumed i would ovulate around day 13 again. I had a sharp pain that day which i assumed was maybe me ovulating. We had sex and i hoped i would conceive. Well its been about a week since i should have had a period. I havent had one and I'm not pregnant i have taken 2 test. So I guess I didnt ovulate so when should i take the clomid again. I dont have any more provera to take to have a period. So do I have to have a period first to take the clomid or can i go ahead and take it now.
