'cervical motion' tenderness

Hi, I'm wondering what causes cervical motion tenderness. A few weeks ago I was hospitalized because of ulcers & severe dehydration. During the pre-admission exam, the doctor performed a pelvic exam....I have endo & my exams are always painful. This exam was more painful than usual. Anyhow, in the chart notes she said I had cervical motion tenderness & bilateral adnexal tenderness. I'm just wondering if it's just the endo that causes this or what else can. I'm not sexually active (never have been). Also, the results of the cultures they did (I think it said trich) came back negative but with several white blood cells present & the pelvic u/s show a 2 cm follicle on the left ovary. I'm just wondering if this could be causing some of the discomfort or if all this is normal. The admitting physician didn't mention any of this to me, so am I correct in assuming that it's not that big of a deal? Thank you.
