[Birth Control] Changing Pills (Orthotricycline to Mircette)From: Ashley (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 31 Jul 2002 15:24:34 -0500 (CDT)
I am changing from a 28 day pack of Orthotricycline to a 28 day pack of Mircette. I am a Sunday starter. I start the white (active) pills on Sunday, then the blue (active) pills, and then the green (placebo) pills. Today is Wednesday and I am taking one of the last green pills in my Orthotricycline pack. On Sunday I will start my first pack of Mircette. I noticed Mircette has white (active) pills, then two green (placebo) pills, and five yellow active pills (in that order). Is this the correct order? If so, why is it different than Orthotricycline with the placebo pills between active pills instead of after them? Also, should I use a back-up method of birth control during the switch?
