34-year-old with irregular bleeding the first thing is to think about complications of pregnancy like miscarriage, if not you have to have endometrial biobsy to exclude any abnormalities in the lining of uterus, this is provided that you did not take any hormones including contraceptive pills. when nothing abnormal with the lining of uterus(endometrium) and no fibroid, we assume this is dysfunctional bleeding and here hormonal treatment is of value
