In addition, any Vit C you don't need is excreted in your urine. Chronic BV is often treated either by boric acid capsules inserted in the vagina or vinegar/water douche. These techniques are used when your ph is too alkaline. I think normal vag PH is supposed to be around 4.5, but you might find this in the archives.
