Hi Debbie,

One ovary can do the work for two. I have just a remnant of an ovary and it can ovulate quite frequently (I am perimenopausal so it is variable for me). You can also have periods even if you don't ovulate.

About the blood streaked mucus, I can't tell you about. It is always best to check out questions like that with your doc to put your mind at ease.
