Thank you SueFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 10 Jul 2002 05:51:54 -0500 (CDT)
Sue: This forum has been a true gift and I have learned so much by people's experience...to share my personal story was something I hoped would help others, and it also gave me a moment to vent (good for the soul). I did not expect to be accused of looking for lawsuits, then quizzed on my medical knowledge, asking for citations on my beliefs from medical books. I had stated I am NOT a doctor, and I work in conjuction with MY doctor over anything I use, including my progesterone cream compounded by an Apothecarist, NOT DR. LEE. What I find ironic is that Victoria has a website on women's issues. One of her statements on her homepage is that posters should respect everyone's opinion. I don't know why she attacked me here. This forum has been a haven for people looking for answers, and to be nasty is just not acceptable. WE, AS WOMEN, ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. HRT is a personal decision, and many doctors have various opinions and options available to their patients. Yes, I am frustrated...just as many women are about medications that we once thought were safe, and ended up being not-so-safe. That was the premis of my original post. I don't expect study groups to go on for years, denying people of cures and benefits, but I find it hard to read the Complaints filed in our court system over women who can't have children due to the medication their mothers ingested in 1959-1961(DES). The lawyers I work with are the defense counsel for the pharmaceutical companies, not the defendants. I AM NOT SNIFFING OUT A LAWSUIT....just highlighting what the population has to put up with regarding drugs thought to be safe. Thank you Sue.
