I have been taking Ortho-Tricyclen for over 2 years. I have always taken every pill on time and have never had any problems with irregular periods or breakthrough bleeding. However, I have a big beach vacation planned and am due to start my period in the middle of that week, which is the week I take the green placebo pills. I have read the archives and I don't want to skip those pills and start a new pack, thus running the risk of spotting. If I only take the white and light blue pills (first two weeks) and then stop, will that induce my period? And if I do that, the Sunday my period ends can I start a new pack without worrying about breakthrough bleeding? Thank you for your time.
