I am a 22 year old women who has never seen an obgyn. I am absolutly terrified of them and I dont know why. At my last visit with my family doctor she told me the problems I were having needed to be addressed through a pelvic exam and that sent me into a teary frenzy. I agreed to let her set up an appointment for an exam simply to get out of there because she would not listen to me when I told her that I could not and would not go. The fear has become worse than the actual physical problem. I cant sleep at night and I break out into a sweat and feel naseauted in the middle of the day when It crosses my mind. It is causing tension between my female family and friends because its supposedly so easy for them and they constently hound me about going. Is there something, anything I can do to solve my problem? I am desperate and in pain emotionally and physically. Thanks for listening.
