[Birth Control] Skipping period first cycle by taking two packs of pills? Effectivness? From: Betsy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 1 Jul 2002 16:07:47 -0500 (CDT)
I started taking my pills the Sunday after my period. I am on Ortho-Tri-Cyclene. I was wondering if I took two weeks of the white pills, two weeks of the blue pills, etc. if this would successfully delay my period without excess Break through bleeding and still be effective against pregnancy since it is my first cylce of pills. I will be getting my period on my wedding day or early in the honeymoon if I don't do anything. Would this method of taking two packs simultaneously work effectivley since it is my first cycle of pills? Thanks for your help. BC
