how can this happen again?From: colleen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Jun 2002 17:48:08 -0500 (CDT)
i am 30 yrs old, have 3 kids age 4,5 and 7. all natural births,. all 8lbs and up. last yr i was operated for a stage 3 uterus prolapse, after the op i went to physical therapy, did my excerises, watched what i ate and totally cut down on my smoking . i have done or i thought i have done everything possible of never having to have other experiance like last years. i had to wear a pessary for months, and it didnt work, the op he did was the bladder, the rectum and the uterus reconstruction. i have no control of holding my urine and there is no talking to me when i have to go. i have just finished taking a urodynamic test on frida and in 2wks i go for the results. now i have another mass coming down, i cant see it,but i can very well feel it and it is the same ol' thing as the last. is it possible that this has fallen again? what can i do to fix this besides going back to my dr? what can i do to fix this once and for all? isnt the vaginal canal supposed to be clear? what can this be, what is the mass from, why is it falling again, it hasnt even been a year since the operation. does anyone have any answers, i would like to know what is the next step. as of last yr, i never heard of a prolapse, and all drs i talk to about this tell me how young i am to have this condition. that it is supposed to be happening to women aged 40 and up. why is it the women that have 6,7,0r 8 kids, nothing happens to them.
